As a service to the metro Denver community, Shift Research Lab helps nonprofits, governments, and social change organizations build their capacity to use data by providing free technical assistance, such as mapping analysis, data visualization and sense-making support. As part of this service, we recently performed a student enrollment analysis for STRIVE Prep, a Denver-based community of free, open enrollment, public charter schools.
This enrollment analysis provides insight into which districts are experiencing an increase in school-aged children and what the school enrollment changes look like for both non-white and free and reduced lunch (FRL) populations. Shift’s analysis will provide STRIVE Prep with the data it needs to better understand student mobility and make more informed decisions to meet student needs.
